What do you love about weddings, how did you start out and how long have you been in the business for?

I grew up loving weddings and always hoped to be part of them. I never got to be a bridesmaid so, I decided to live out my dream and actually conduct them! Now I am an integral part of so many, which is an absolute dream come true.

Got any hot tips for couples when booking a business like yours?

Get in early to avoid missing your date. We are the most important part of a wedding (without a celebrant its just a party) and sadly we get overlooked often!

What was the coolest, craziest or your most memorable wedding to work on?

I did the most amazing surprise wedding at an engagement party. Nobody saw it coming and we nailed it! There were 165 guests and it went off without a hitch!

Tell us a bit about the face behind the brand.

I am me, I do not pretend to be anything else.

Where do you find your personal flare and inspiration for the business?

The wedding industry is such a happy industry to work in. I enjoy learning about each couples personal journey in getting to this point and it is a privilege to share their unique love stories with their loved ones. I get chills every time I conduct a ceremony and, I pour my heart and soul into every wedding that I do.

Tell us why you’re awesome? What sets your business apart from the rest.

I am told time and time again that I have a calming personality. My couples always feel calm and relaxed when we are in the moment. I love the thrill of writing a ceremony and my stories are full of fun and emotion. Honestly, I will always do my best, I know that I do a damn good job and, I feel confident that my pricing is good value for the great work that I do.

Does your brand have a specific style?

My logo represents me, it has the ECG blip and a heart. As an emergency nurse in a Paediatric hospital that felt right. The heart beat symbolises, life and love.

How many people do you have on your team and who should we expect on the day? If no one, do you have a backup plan?

Currently it is me! My wonderful hubby is my right-hand man and roady. He gets me where I need to go, helps set up all the equipment and he often helps the other suppliers too. I also have a network of friends in the industry I can call on, if for some reason I can't be available

Tell us a bit about your process when booking a wedding from start to finish? What’s included and what’s not?

I make the process as easy and stress free as possible. I am a people person so like to meet my couples face-to-face. Once we establish a connection and a package is selected (I have a few and can tailor to needs), we work through mandatory legal documents and NOIM. I require a service agreement and a booking fee to lock in the date.

I get my couples to fill in a questionnaire and I use that to craft a very personal ceremony. I keep everyone in the loop and, once the ceremony is written, I will check in with the couple to make sure they are happy and that it's what they want. I am also very happy to do a rehearsal on site.

I can accommodate rituals like sand or candle ceremonies, I have a selection of signage and I now have 4 arbours! These are completely free for my couples to use but I do need to charge delivery if required.

On the day I arrive an hour pre-ceremony, set up the PA (which has a bluetooth connection) and check that the music is paired and ready to play. I provide a signing table and chairs. I conduct the ceremony, inclusive of all required legal wording, we sign the paperwork and.. hey-ho-presto, a beautiful couple is married!

What info do you require from a couple to best understand their vision and accurately quote on jobs?

I get a lot from my initial chat with my couples. That way I can understand them. I offer a wedding planning meeting, so I can offer any suggestions and advice. The couples questionnaire gives me great insight into their back ground, and future dreams so, getting them to take the time to fill that in is important. For legalities, I need to site their ID and complete NOIM paperwork.

Is there anywhere that couples can see your work?

I have lots of pictures and information of my Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as my Google business page.

Of course, you can also see my Best Wedding App profile too.

My website is a work in progress.

Tell us a bit about your fee structure?

I have 3 basic packages:

My Elopement package is $550.

My Standard  package is $750

All the bells and whistles is $950.

I also offer a celebrant/photographer weekday package for $1100

Do you work on locations and do your prices include travel fees?

Yes I'll definitely travel and, with most areas I have no extra travel fee. There will be an additional charge for weddings where the location is a few hours away however, I enjoy doing them as it means we get out on the open road. I do not charge accommodation as we take our caravan. Go on, book a celebrant who has the capability to travel!

What does your calendar look like this year and how far in advance are you booked?

I'm now taking booking for 2025!! I have a few weekends left this year and next year there are plenty of dates available too.
