What's a micro wedding?

Well, it has all the bells and whistles of a bigger wedding, just a smaller guest number. Normally, a Micro Wedding will have under 50 guests. This type of wedding is perfect if you have a large family and your bigger wedding would have blown out to hundreds. With a Micro Wedding, you can still have your most important people in attendance and simply tell the others that you had no choice but to go down this route. Our experiences is that people are really supportive in light of 2020 and our new way of living. You can then tell them that you will give them access a photo or wedding reel or even set up a live stream so they can enjoy the day in real time

Here are a few tips to make your micro wedding stand out.

Florals.

That is right, go floral or go home. Get a special arch or ceremony back drop. You could have a hanging installation above your reception tables. Whatever you decide to do with your flowers, more is always better. You can then have a wrapping station at the end of the night where you guests can take home bunches of the flowers.

Branding.

Get a stellar Neon Sign. This trend is a great way to highlight your new last name, or your hashtag or your names together. Such fun! You can then hang it up somewhere at home after the event and it can be a fabulous reminder of your day.

Photography and Videography.

We are big advocates food quality suppliers. Do not skimp on your memories. Get yourself a banging photographer and/or videographer so you will be able to look back on your special day whenever the mood strikes.

Champagne.

A champagne tower is the new wedding cake. Seriously, when else in life can you frivolously pour expensive champagne everywhere? Do it for the fun, do it for the photos and do it for any excuse to drink bubbles.

Spoil your guests.

Splurge on the wedding favours and get something no one else has done. A personalised signature cocktail is a great idea or maybe a marble coaster with your guests name on it. Give them something cute to remember (or to ingest.)

Dessert.

Indulge! With a smaller guest tally you can really go all out. One of the great things about a micro wedding is that it's easier to personalise the finer things and get suppliers to weave their magic and customise their offerings.

Music.

There's nothing like live music to create a vibe. With small numbers you don't need to break the bank on a full piece band either. A two or 3 piece band can see you through a ceremony, your first dance and will have you dancing your heart out later in the night.

Photo Booth.

Who doesn't love popping on a top hat or donning a pair of oversized sunnies and a fake mo for of a photo-booth. I know we sure do and more importantly, your guests do too. Be sure to get hold of the copies and add them to your thank you cards.

Sparklers.

End the night with a little extra sizzle. Get some extra big sparklers so you can be sent on your way to married bliss with a sparkler send off--hello amazing photos.
