Heel enthusiast or forever flats?

Who doesn’t love the look of a high heel? So classy, elegant, classic and then, for some… so downright uncomfortable. For some brides-to-be the thought of wearing high heels for hours on end is about as enticing as sticking needles in your eyes. Ouch.

If you are not one of those brides who cares deeply about the height beneath their feet or whether the shoes are Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Stuart Weitzman or Jimmy Choo (ok, I’m name dropping) then consider some of the following options.

If you have a large dress, you can get away with wearing flats, as people will only see the front of the shoe.

If you are a high heel lover, but you do not want to wear them all night. Why don’t you rock those heels during the ceremony and have a sneaky pair of flats tucked away somewhere? That way, when you are carving up the dance floor you won’t be a slave to your weary feet.

Or if you’re concerned that your pals might endure the same fate and that this might compromise the dance floor shenanigans then buy a cute little box and fill it with cheap flip-flops in all shapes and sizes so that everyone still looks fabulous from head to … ankle. But, most importantly everyone is comfortable.

Believe us, at the end of the night, your feet will burn. (and the only good thing to come out of sore feet will be a few extra sessions at the day-spa on your honeymoon).
